Police bust two gangs, arrest 8 members

Two special teams of Sahibabad police busted two gangs of robbers and arrested eight members involved in several cases of chain snatching and loot, said City SP Ajay Pal Sharma.

Acting on a tip-off, a police team arrested Tahoor and his three accomplices Raheem, Farukh, Samar, said Sharma.

Another police team nabbed Farman and his three gang members Gudoo, Dilshad and Usman, all natives of village Pasonda under police station Sahibabad and were operating in Trans Hindan Area.

Police recovered gold and silver ornaments of worth Rs 2.75 lakh, Rs 28 thousand rupees cash, three motorcycles, one scooter, two country-made pistols of 315 bore and four knives from their possession.
 

All of them have been sent to jail, said officer.
