One motorcycle belonging to them (the gang) has been seized, while rest of the gang members managed to escape.
"We had been on a lookout for this Bournvita gang for quite some time. It had recently snatched a mobile phone and purse of a girl. The girl's address was in the purse and it sent a letter in the name of RJD MP Pappu Yadav demanding Rs 22 lakh. She had complained about these to the police," Lande said.
He said that handwriting of one of the nabbed boys has matched with the handwriting in the threat letter sent to the girl.
"This is a very bad trend emerging here. All the three boys hail from good families. Since they all are minors, they will be forwarded to remand home. Their parents have been informed by the police," Lande said.
The police official also hinted at a crackdown on minors who ride bikes without even being eligible for driving licenses.
The gang members all teenagers would zoom around on costly motorcycles, snatching valuables from people and indulging in eve-teasing and hooliganism.
