Police, CID sleuths visit spot of murder of forest ranger

West Singhbhum district police and CID sleuths today visited the spot to investigate the killing of a forest ranger who was shot dead by unidentified assailants in the Naxal-hit Goilkera area of the district last night, the police said.

Sideshwar Singh was gunned down near the Forest Dak Bunglow where he was living alone around 9.15 pm last night, Sub-Divisional Police Officer (Chakradharpur), Ajay Kerketta said.

Besides the CID officials from Ranchi and Jamshedpur, Kerketta said SP of West Singhbhum (Acting) Inderjeet Mahatha and Chakradharpur Sub-Divisional Officer visited the spot to investigate the incident.
