The police conducted a security check near Andhra Pradesh High Court premises here today after a hoax phone call about a bomb in the premises.

After the police control room received an anonymous call at around 10.30 am claiming that a bomb has been planted on the court premises, a dog squad along with the Charminar police carried out security checks, a police officer said.

"However, nothing was found. The call proved to be a hoax," he said.

The call has been traced to a public call office in Visakhapatnam.

Further investigation is on, the police officer said.
