In its weekly 'Storming Operation' conducted by the City Police here last night, 106 persons were nabbed for drunken driving.
The City Police carry out the weekly excercise to nab offenders and wanted persons besides conducting vehicle checks as part of their crime-prevention activities.
On Saturday night, similar 'Storming Operation' was held across the city in which 707 persons were detained for suspicion and another 106 persons for drunken driving, a City Police release here today said.
Meanwhile, the Video Piracy Cell of the police nabbed a 'key offender' involved in producing pirated DVDs and CDs of newly released films.
The VPC held Daulat Basha on Saturday and recovered DVDs of new releases including Kamal Haasan-starrer 'Papanasam' and 'Romeo Juliet' and porn movies, the release said.
