Police constable arrested for stalking woman dance teacher

A police constable has been arrested for stalking and passing obscene remarks at a woman dance teacher.

A country-made firearm was also recovered from him, police said.

Nischay Tomar (26), attached to Gunga police station, allegedly followed, in car, the woman who was riding a two-wheeler with a friend on pillion seat from a local mall to her house in Jahangirabad area around midnight.

"She was returning after conducting a dance class. The accused followed her upto the area where she lived, where the dancer raised alarm. The people there overpowered him and handed him over to police," superintendent of police Bhartendu Sharma said.
 

Tomar was booked under IPC section 354 (D) (stalking) and section 25 of Arms Act.
