A 50-year-old police constable was killed in his home at Palpara Bhatjangla in West Bengal's Nadia district today morning by miscreants.
The constable's wife was also injured in the attack by the group of eight miscreants, who broke into his two storied house and locked their teenaged son in his room from outside, police said.
When the constable, named Rama Prasad Chandra tried to resist their attempt to rob his rome, the miscreants stabbed him on his stomach. They also injured his wife, who was sleeping in a another room of the two storied house.

She was admitted to the hospital.
A complaint was lodged with the local police and the Nadia district superintendent of police rushed to the spot.
However, none was arrested.
