Police said the seven-member betting group made Rs 7 lakh through cricket betting since the beginning of the fifth season of the IPL this year.
After raiding the place, police found that the bookies were using specialised software embedded in cell phones as part of the betting racket.
"The money on the betting does not change hands on a daily basis, but records of the victories and losses are maintained in these softwares," they said.
After receiving lot of complaints, special police teams were formed to rein in this activity, especially in the old part of the city, they added.
In the past 10 days, seven cases of betting were registered in the old city and 32 persons were arrested and Rs 67,000 were recovered from them. 22 cell phones were also recovered, police said.
