Police cop's wife shot dead

A police sub-inspector's wife was allegedly shot dead by two persons when she was alone at her residence in Shamli district, police said today.

The deceased identified as Malka, wife of Sajil Ahmed who is posted as sub-inspector at Ghaziabad police station was shot dead yesterday.

A case has been registered against the accused identified as Mintu Pandit and Nitu Sharma and search is on to apprehend them. The cause behind the attack is being investigated, they said.

In another incident, a 13-year old boy was allegedly stabbed to death by unidentified miscreants in Titerwada village in Shamli district yesterday.
 

Body of the deceased Nazim was recovered from the fields in the village, police said adding a case has been registered against unidentified persons and efforts are on to nab the accused.

Meanwhile, another student Salim (20) was attacked with a sharp object by fellow student Qasim (22) in Kandhla town of the district, police said.

The accused has been arrested and further investigations are on in the case, they said.
