Police dig out cache of arms

A cache of arms belonging to the NDFB-Songbijit was recovered by police after digging them out at a place under Dhekiajuli police station in Assam's Sonitpur district today, said a police officer.

Based on a tip off, a police team recovered three M 22 rifles, one HK 33 rifle and one M 81 rifle, according to Biswanath Chariali district Superintendent of Police Manabendra Debroy.

The arms were kept hidden underground near Laibari close to Adabari Laibari centre, Debroy said.
