Three militants were shot dead by police during an encounter in northwest Pakistan's restive Khyber Pakthunkhwa province today.
The militants attacked a police patrolling team which retaliated back by firing, according to Mardan Police spokesman.
As result of exchange of firing, three militants were killed.
