In yet another initiative for women's safety, Telangana Police on Tuesday launched 'Safety Clubs' in five colleges in the city.
These clubs with students as members will work towards safety, security and other issues related to women within the colleges as well as inneighbourhoods, according to an official press release.
The members will be the facilitator who would bridge the gap between youths who are in need of support and the existing response mechanisms such as police and legal aid in the city for addressing girls and women's safety issues, it said.
The Telangana police have already launched pro-women initiatives such as 'She Teams' and 'Hawk Eye.
