A police naik was arrested here today while allegedly taking bribe, Anti-Corruption Bureau officials said.
Bhaskar Mohondkar, attached to Wada police station was arrested while he was taking bribe of Rs 4,000 from the complainant for helping him in the case filed against him, additional SP, ACB Thane Shrinivas Ghadge said.
The complainant then lodged a complaint with Palghar ACB unit against Mohondkar, following which a trap was laid and he was nabbed at the police station.
A case has been filed under relevant sections of Prevention of Corruption Act, he said.
