A local court has sent a police officer to 14-days of police custody after rejecting his bail plea in connection with a murder case of an advocate in 2006.
Sessions Judge SC/ST Act S K Agrawal, after rejecting the bail plea of Badaut Police station in-charge Rajendra Singh Yadav in Bagpat district, sent him to 14-days of police custody yesterday here.
Yadav, along with ten others is an accused in murder of advocate Satyaveer Singh Malik on June 27, 2006.

On June 27, 2006, Yadav had gone to advocate's house in a bid to arrest his son Neeraj Malik, who was accused of murdering Chaudhury Charan Singh University, Meerut student leader Sanjeev Gurjar.
Later, the advocate and one policeman Praveen Giri were found shot dead.
