Police raids private bungalow and arrests 26 party revellers

Twenty-six party revellers including 14 women were arrested at 1.43 am late last night, after a raid on a private bungalow in Ghodbunder, the Kasarwadawali police said here today.

The Thane police crime branch raided the bungalow late last night and nabbed party revellers, for their allegedly "indecent" acts, the police said, in its daily crime report, adding that those arrested include women from Morocco.

They have been booked under Sections 298 and Section 188 of the Indian Penal Code as well as Sections 85(2), 110, 112 and 117 of the Bombay Prohibition Act, Assistant Police Inspector V S Lokhare of the Kasarwadawali police station said.
 

Those arrested include an industrialist, while others were residents of Navi Mumbai and Mumbai, the police said, adding that the women arrested were aged between 20 and 27 years, while a couple of women were around 30 years old.

Empty foreign liquor bottles, undergarments and condoms were recovered from the party venue, the police said.

No narcotic drugs were found at the bungalow, the police confirmed.
