Acting on information by a gangster arrested few days ago, the pistol and cartridges were recovered from an almirah in Talab Tillo area of the city last evening, they said.
With the arrest of three gangsters on August 20 and recovery of country-made pistols, live cartridges and sharp-edged weapons, a major inter-gang rivalry has been averted in the city, they said.
A case has been registered under Arms Act they said.
