Police recovers stolen bike, 22 mobile phones; culprits flee

A motorcycle and 22 mobile phones with accessories were recovered by the PCR staff in Kanjhawala area of outer Delhi while chasing a trio of criminals, police said today.

In a late night chase, the PCR staff based at Karal T-Point in Kanjhawala recovered a stolen motorcycle and a bag containing 22 mobile phones with accessories, they said, adding that the three burglars they were chasing managed to flee under the cover of darkness.

The PCR staff spotted the culprits on a bike who were speeding to Mubarakpur village at 1.30 am yesterday, said Ranvir Singh, ACP (operations), Delhi Police.
 

The chasing PCR van relayed the message to the staff stationed near Rani Kheda who took over the chase. Finally, the trio followed a different route to Mubarakpur and fled while leaving behind the motorcycle and a plastic bag.

The motorcycle was stolen from Aman Vihar area. The bag contained 22 mobile phones and eight pieces each of batteries and charges, Singh said.

The mobile phones were also stolen from the area. An FIR was registered under Sections 457/380 of IPC at Kanjhawala police stations, added the officer.
