Twelve children were today rescued by the police on board of Puri-Ahmedabad express while they were allegedly being trafficked to Gujarat.
The police conducted surprise check on the train on receipt of a credible information in this regard, they said.
After rescuing the kids, police handed them over to the officials of Women and Child Development department.
However, the accused escaped from the spot.
