Police seeks certified copy of tape recording conversation

Police has sought a certified copy of the tape recording of the conversation between Samajwadi Party (SP) supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav and senior IPS officer Amitabh Thakur.

"Police has sought a certified copy of the tape recording in connection with the complaint lodged by IPS officer Amitabh Thakur at the Hazratganj kotwali against Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav", IGP Law and Order A Satish Ganesh said.

To questions on developments on the complaint given by Thakur on Saturday, the IG (Law and Order) said "SSP, Lucknow Rajesh Pandey has said that a certified copy of the tape recording has been sought from the complainant and any further step will be taken only after getting it verified".
 

Thakur had filed a complaint with the police on Saturday after releasing the text and audio recording of a voice purportedly that of Mulayam Singh Yadav threatening him on phone of serious consequences on Friday.
