More than 900 boxes of fireworks were seized by the police today after a raid on unlicensed godowns at different places in the town and arrested four persons in this conection.
On information that crackers were being stored without proper lincense at some places, Assistant superintendent of Police, Vandhitha Pande ordered for raids on the godowns, police said.
A total of 929 boxes of fireworks from different places were seized, they said.
