The district police today claimed to have solved a loot case in which valuables worth lakhs of rupees were stolen from a house on Saturday.
On a tip-off, a team of the district police raided a location near the Agwanpur Bypass where four robbers were hiding, a police official said.
They fired at the team when they were surrounded. The police retaliated that led to an exchange of fire in which a sub-inspector and two robbers were injured, the official said.

The injured have been hospitalised, he said, adding all four robbers, including the two hurt in the incident, have been put under arrest.
The police have also recovered 3 kg of gold and 55 kg silver, the official said.
