Police solves two month old murder case

The police today claimed to have solved a two-month old murder case by arresting a teacher from Mashabadi village in Kandhamal district.

The accused Goutam Nayak (22), working as sikshya sahayak was arrested by the police on charge of committing murder to Benudhara Gouda (45) of Mashabada under Tarasingi police station limit in Ganjam district.

Due to some dispute between them, the accused had killed Gouda on May 1, 2017.

Both accused and deceased were living in a room at Bhanjanagara.

"During the investigation, we came to know Nayak was involved in the case and he was arrested", police said.
