City police station in-charge was today suspended for allegedly failing to solve a case of dacoity at Satyaram Girls Inter College in Bhansadia village near here.

DM, Kheri Kinjal Singh, SP Akhilesh Chaurasia, along with SDM today inspected the crime spot. They expressed their dissatisfaction over the progress of the probe.

Following which SP ordered suspension of the City Kotwali In-charge Nem Chandra Gangwar and transfer the probe to UP Special Task Force, an official spokesman said here.

As per the DM's instruction village Lekhpal (revenue officer) and the 'chowkidar'(guard) were also suspended with immediate effect, an official said.

They had failed to report about some land dispute involving the college.

Some unidentified miscreants barged into the compound of under-construction Satyaram Girls Inter College on November 3.

The college is stated to be managed by two Canada-based NRI women -- Shobhna Nandi and Shiv Laxmi. The duo was present there on that night.

The burglars forcefully entered their room and seriously injured the women before fleeing with cash and gold chain worth Rs 90,000.

An FIR was lodged in this connection. The City police initially grilled the security guards engaged, but it didn't provide any vital lead, the official said.
