Vigilance sleuths today caught Sub-Inspector Niraj Kumar, posted as the Station House Officer of Sahebganj police station in Muzaffarpur district, was caught while allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 10,000.
Vigilance officials said Prabodh Kumar Rai Bishunpur village under Sahebganj police station had complained that the SHO had demanded Rs 10,000 as bribe to arrest persons accused in an FIR filed by him.
"The complaint was verified by our sleuths and the allegations were found to be true. A trap team under the leadership of Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Mohammad Ali Ansari was constituted to nab the SI," the officials said.

The SI had come to Patna to receive the bribe, and the trap team arrested him from a place near Kanti Factory More in Kankarbagh area while taking the money.
Vigilance Investigation Bureau conducted 13 traps since January and arrested 14 persons.
