Police yet to get clue about attack on KAS officer

"We are yet to find any definite clues in the case. However,we are working on it", Deputy Commissioner of Police (Central Division) Ravikantegowda said.

48 year-old S P Mahantesh, a Deputy Director in the audit wing of the cooperative department, has been under treatment in the ICU of a private hospital after he was reportedly attacked by unidentified miscreants causing bleeding head injuries on the night of May 15.

Mahantesh, returning home in his car, was found unconscious near a hotel before he was shifted to hospital after passerby noticed it and informed his family.

The condition of the officer "is stable", the DCP said.

 

Special Teams have been formed to nab the assailants, Police Commissioner Jyothiprakash Mirji said.

The officer had reported irregularities in different societies involving some officials and political figures.
