Some unidentified men allegedly attacked and killed a policeman and critically injured his colleague while they were sleeping outside a police outpost in Neemrana area of the district.

Constables Sundar and Roshan were sleeping outside the Mazri police chowki last night when the unidentified persons repeatedly hit their heads with some heavy object leaving Sundar dead on the spot, Superintendent of Police, Alwar, Vikas Kumar said.

The slain constable had six fractures in the skull while the condition of Roshan is also critical, he said.

The SP said,"It appears a blind case as no motive of the attack could be found so far.

"A suspicious unclaimed motorcycle has been found near the spot and identity of the owner is being verified," he said.
