Robbers barged into the house of a policeman here and decamped with cash and valuables worth lakhs of rupees after thrashing the family members.
The robbers entered into the official residence of Ashok Kumar in SDM Colony at Sikandrabad area by climbing up the back wall last night and beat up the constable and his wife with pistol butt, police said.
The injured couple has been admitted to the hospital and the matter is being investigated, SP (City) Ajay Sahni said, adding no report in this regard has been lodged by the victims yet.
Residences of some of the important district officials including that of the SDM, Circle Officer and several other officers is situated in the area.
