A policeman and his wife were killed this afternoon after their motorcycle was hit by a car near Gosana village here, police said.
The accident occurred when Bhagwan Singh (54), posted at the Etah Police Lines, and his wife Lalita Devi (50) were returning home from his native village Godera, they said.
Singh died on the spot and his wife succumbed to injuries after sometime, police said.
The car's driver tried to flee, but was nabbed by locals and handed over to the police, they said.
The bodies were sent for post-mortem, police added.
