Policemen injured after car hits PCR van

Three policemen were today injured after a car hit their PCR van from behind in Shahdara, an official said.

Two inebriated men inside the car were arrested, the police said.

The injured police personnel were identified as assistant sub-inspector Shiv Kumar, head constable Ved Prakash and constable Santlal.

The car ploughed into the PCR van around 1 am on Pushta Road. The three policemen were on night duty.

Kumar and Prakash were discharged from a hospital after first aid. Santlal was admitted to SDN Hospital, the police said.

The accused were identified as Manish Kashyap (25), who was driving the car, and Abhishek.
