A 23-year old student on his way to his polytechnic college was fatally knocked down by a truck here, triggering a protest by the public who blamed it on the 'delay' in completion of repair work of the road.
A truck coming behind knocked down the two-wheeler borne student and crushed him to death.
The student was not able to manage the vehicle on the road which has been taken up for repair works and is replete with deep pits, potholes and long stretch of trenches, public claimed.

A team of police met the agitating public and held talks with them with the assurance that the concerned department would be contacted for speedy work to restore the proper condition of the road.
A section of the local people alleged that the road repair work was going on at a snail's pace.
