: Lt Governor Kiran Bedi and Chief Minister V Narayanasamy today greeted members of the Muslim community in the Union Territory on the eve of Ramzan.
In her message, Bedi said that "Ramzan is a unique festival of expression of universal brotherhood and friendship. Also the festival teaches self-discipline as well as compassion for fellow human beings."
"On the occasion of Ramzan I extend my hearty greetings and best wishes to Muslim brethren and people of Puducherry," she said.

Speaker V Vaithilingam, Ministers, Member of Parliament (Lok Sabha) R Radhakrishnan, the opposition AINRC leader N Rangasamy, the AIADMK (Amma) Legislator A Anbalgan and a host of leaders were among those who extended Ramzan greetings.
