Congress leader and former MP Ponnam Prabhakar's 'fast unto death' continued for the third day today, which he has launched over the demand for a government medical college in Karimnagar.

Prabhakar has been on a fast at his residence here, as police did not allow him to do so at Indira chowk in the city.

According to sources, his health condition has worsened, with changes in is his sugar levels.

Congress MLA T Jeevan Reddy said that police have registered a case against Prabhakar for going on a fast.

He demanded that Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao should sanction the medical College at the earliest.

Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) chief Uttam Kumar Reddy also made a similar demand here.

Prabhakar had earlier said that Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao had promised to establish a medical college in the town in 2014.

Even after three years, no steps have been taken to set up the college here, while a medical college was announced for Siddipet district last year, he had said.
