The 40-year-old filmmaker filed the complaint at the Bandra police station.

"Off to Bandra police station to file an official complaint with regards to receiving abusive/threatening calls... Last night. Have been getting threatening, obscene calls. The male voice, obviously inebriated abused me & threatened to come over," she tweeted.

The actress also said when she called the police helpline number at late night it was of no help.

"I called 100 to complain. A rude female voice on the other end asked me to go to the nearest police station as she could not do anything. When I explained that it is close 1AM and I could not possibly be expected to go to the police station alone, she got extremely brusque," Pooja added.

She, however, praised the Bandra police for being helpful.

Pooja's father, filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt, said he too had received a call from the same number at late night.

"It's organised terror," he added.
