An Argentine-Spanish biopic of Pope Francis is all set to get big screen treatment.
The biopic will be based on Vatican correspondent Elisabetta Pique's biography 'Pope Francis: Life and Revolution: A Biography of Jorge Bergoglio', said the Hollywood Reporter.
Sales agent FilmSharks, who manages world rights for the project, made the announcement during the Ventana Sur film market in Buenos Aires.

The three met Pope Francis at the Vatican last evening. The cast includes Silvia Abascal, Jorge Marrale, Carlos Hipolito, Leonor Manso, Laura Novoa, and Leticia Bredice.
Ever since Francis was elected, several projects to make a film about Bergoglio's life have been boarded by Argentine helmer Alejandro Agresti, producer Christian Peschken, and Ridley Scott.
The shooting of Docampo Feijoo's film will kick off on January 12 in Buenos Aires and will later move to Madrid and Rome. The film's world premiere is scheduled for July 2015.
"We hope this film will transmit the admiration all of us feel for the coherence of a life based on austerity and charity, and that will inspire people," said Docampo Feijoo, who also wrote the script.
