"Beginning from 'Ekla Akash', where I have sought to re-capture a different feel and mood, I will now also explore the genre of other realistic films through music, you will continue to have the Jeet of masala entertainers but wonder why I am not being used to compose music for other types of movies like Sandipan Ray of Ekla Akash, Jeet told reporters at the launch of the music of the film.
Going back to his college days, consisting of fests and bands, Jeet explained there he wanted to tap other forms also and not confined to foot tapping 'Dhaker tale..." or "Piya Re...." of two superhit Bengali films which had topped charts for days after release.
Coming back to Morning Fresh Media production 'Ekla Akaash', which he dubbed as an effort to bridge the gap between two genres of film music, Jeet said "Here, I have shunned the thumping numbers used vastly in other movies and rather focused on soothing melody."
