Porter, which connects customers with commercial vehicles for goods to be transported, has plans to have presence in ten cities by the middle of next year.
The company founded by IITians Pranav Goel, Uttam Digga and Vikas Choudhary in August 2014, announced today it recently launched services in Hyderabad. Porter is currently present in Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Chennai.
Porter, in Hyderabad, currently has 200 vehicles on its platform and makes 400 trips a day. In three months, supply is expected to increase by 500 vehicles making 1500 trips a day. The vehicle categories available in Hyderabad are Ace and Super Ace, the company said.

Porter helps drivers increase their earnings by providing them a wider customer base and by increasing their vehicle utilisation, according to a company statement.
In order to provide reliable and standardised services, Porter conducts extensive driver training and does driver verification along with a vehicle audit, it said.
Porter has 1500 vehicles pan-India and makes 3000 trips each day.
The company's clientele include ITC, Godrej and Reliance, the statement said, adding, it plans to have presence in 10 cities by the middle of next year.
"Porter customer mobile application offers a complete user experience by connecting the customer with commercial vehicles for goods to be transported. The app shows the vehicles available nearby and the ETA (estimated time of arrival) of the nearest vehicle. Once the trip is booked, customer receives the trip details like driver name, vehicle number etc. It allows the customers to track their consignment in real time," the statement added.
