Silver prices went up by Rs 112 to Rs 34,192 per kg in futures trading today as speculators widened positions amid firm trend in precious metals overseas.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver for delivery in far-month May traded higher by Rs 112, or 0.33 per cent, at Rs 34,192 per kg, in a business turnover of three lots.
Likewise, the white metal for delivery in March rose by Rs 93, or 0.28 per cent, to Rs 33,731 per kg in 494 lots.

Market analysts said speculative positions built up by participants, tracking a firm trend global markets for precious metals, influenced silver prices at futures trade.
Meanwhile, silver was trading 0.25 per cent higher at USD 13.86 an ounce in Singapore today.
