After a very successful directorial debut "Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na", Abbas Tyrewala's second venture "Jhootha Hi Sahi" was a disappointment and the filmmaker says the film's failure left him heartbroken.
"It did put me in the backfoot. It was something that we had done with such great love and lot of work, lot of other people's money and a lot of time. We brought our lives to it. When something like that does not work, your heart breaks. There is no two ways about it. You feel very heartbroken," Abbas told PTI in an interview.
"Jhootha Hi Sahi" had John Abraham and Abbas's wife Pakhi Tyrewala in lead roles and released in 2010. The director said that it was all the more difficult to cope with the failure as both his wife and he were part of the film.
