Post-mortem fails to ascertain exact cause of woman's death

The post-mortem conducted on the young woman, who was found dead in a semi-nude state at Arambol beach in North Goa, could not ascertain the exact cause of her death, police said today.

"The post-mortem report could not ascertain exact cause of her (woman's) death. It is reserved till diatom and viscera results are revealed," inspector Devendra Gad of Pernem Police Station, who is investigating the case, said.

The body of a young Indian woman, in her twenties, was found on January 22.

Gad had said initial investigation revealed that the woman was seen with three boys on Thursday night on the beach after attending a party on a shack.
 

Superintendent of Police (North) Umesh Gaonkar said police are yet to establish the identity of the woman.
