Postmortem of the body forcibly buried by kin conducted

The body of a 26-year-old woman, which was allegedly "snatched and buried" by at least 100 people at Sahar village here, was exhumed by police today and postmortem conducted.

The body was re-buried, after the postmortem for which the district magistrate gave permission today. Police force from six police stations led by DSP Yogesh Pathak and SDM Goverdhan M P Ssingh were present when the body was again burried this evening.

The woman, Reshma, had allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself on Monday.

The police was informed about the suicide on Monday evening. But when it reached and started conducting the Panchanama villagers snatched the body and buried it. The police had forbade them from their action.
 

The police had lodged 26 named FIRs, including the victim's husband Saddam, and unnamed FIRs against 60 to 70 others.
