Workers engaged in digging a pond today stumbled upon a pot containing temple ornaments of antique value at a village in this district.
A total of 40 Ornaments like ear rings, chains, mangalsutra of the female diety of the temple at Arasampalayam were found inside the pot, revenue officials said.
Revenue officials, including Tashildar Govindarajan, who visited the spot said the government will be informed.
