With monsoon playing truant with the national capital, the demand for power touched 5,305 MW. However, it was less than yesterday's demand of 5,350 MW.
Delhi had witnessed a record 5,454 MW demand for power on Monday.
Power cuts were reported from VVIP areas of the capital, south Delhi, west Delhi and east Delhi.
Officials said they did not get power from Badri plant, which provides 500 MW to the capital, today, resulting in cuts.
