Power discom opens charging stations for electric two wheelers

In a bid to reduce air pollution, power discom Tata Power Delhi Distribution Ltd today launched two free charging stations for electric two-wheelers in North and North West Delhi.

People can charge their two-wheelers free of cost at these stations set up at Pitampura and the second is located near Maurice Nagar Police Station.

"This environment friendly initiative is expected to benefit over 10,000 electric two-wheelers owners in the Tata Power Delhi-DDL area," an official statement said.

CEO and MD of TPDDL Praveer Sinha said "we are constantly rolling out environment friendly initiatives for the benefit of people. Setting up of Free E-charging stations for electric two wheelers is a step in that direction only. This will also encourage people to opt for pollution free modes of commutation."
 

TPDDL is currently running five E-charging stations for cars in North and North West Delhi.
