Power generation resumes in thermal plant

Power generation from the two units of the thermal power plant here resumed after rectifying the technical problem, officials said.

The boilers of the two units, first and third, of the Tuticorin Thermal Power Station (TTPS) with a capacity to generate 210 MW each, had developed technical snag on Monday.

The two units started generating power from last night after the engineers rectified the defects, the sources said, adding, all the five units were working "perfectly" now.
