State-run Power Grid Corporation of India today posted 13.9 per cent rise in standalone profit at Rs 2,052.4 crore for the quarter ended June 30 on the back of higher revenue from operations.
The company had posted a profit of Rs 1,801.7 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal, Power Grid Corporation of India said in a BSE filing.
The standalone revenue from operations during April-June quarter increased to Rs 7,181 crore, over Rs 6,119.8 crore in the year-ago period.

The total expenses increased to Rs 4,874.5 crore, over Rs 3,975 crore in the corresponding period of the previous fiscal.
Shares of the company closed 0.54 per cent higher at Rs 224.25 apiece on BSE.
