Power connections of three chilling plants of a local SP leader have been snapped by the officials over dues of Rs 1.35 crore here.

Executive Engineer of UP Power Corporation K P Puri said the connection of the three chilling plants have been disconnected for not clearing bills of Rs 1.35 crore.

Samajwadi Party muzaffarnagar city president Rashid Siddiqui owns the three chilling plants.

The step was taken after the plants failed to clear the dues even after several notices were served to them, the Executive Engineer said.
