The industrial power tariff in Maharashtra would be reduced in two phases to bring it on par with rates in the neighbouring states, Maharashtra Industry Minister Narayan Rane said here today.
Changed tariff would come into effect from May this year, he added.
Talking to reporters here, Rane expressed strong opposition to proposed eco-sensitive status for Konkan.
About Maratha reservation issue, Rane said the committee headed by him would submit its report next month.
