Security personnel found the bomb during patrol at Haldapara adjacent to NH 37 close to the area where a bomb exploded on July 31 killing an army man and injuring six others.
According to intelligence reports, a group of seven ULFA militants have entered the district to carry out subversive activities in the run up to the Independence Day.
