Parakala Prabhakar today assumed charge as the Advisor (Communications) to Andhra Pradesh government here.
Prabhakar, who had worked with BJP and erstwhile Praja Rajyam Party, is also a media personality.
Talking to reporters after assuming charge, he said he would act as a bridge between the government and the people and sought the cooperation of media in the endeavour.
Union Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is Prabhakar's wife.
