Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu today assured early completion of the second phase of the Koderma-Hazaribagh-Barkagaon-Ranchi railway line in Jharkhand.
Speaking just before Prime Minister Narendra Modi flagged off the first phase of the 79.7 km Hazaribagh-Koderma DMU train, Prabhu said the next phase of 60-km long stretch would be completed soon and that Hazaribagh will be connected with the state capital Ranchi within a year.
Assuring more facilities to the newly inaugurated Hazaribagh railway station as urged by former Union minister and senior BJP leader Yashwant Sinha, Prabhu pitched for maximum transportation of minerals by rail so that both the railways and the state could benefit.
